Brood Mare Lady Maryland Dies at North Wales Stud StudWARRENTON WARRENTON Va May 7 A recent brood mare loss at Walter P Chrysler Jrs North Wales Stud near here was the mare Lady Maryland who died while foaling a colt by Bahram sultan at this nursery Lady Maryland has one living foal a chest ¬ nut filly by Stimulus dropped last year yearA A gray mare foaled in 1934 and bred by Mrs Helena S Raskob at her Pioneer Point Farm at Centerville on Marylands Eastern Shore Lady Maryland was a suc ¬ cessful performer She wou eighteen races and 28067 in four seasons of campaign ¬ ing A daughter of Sir Greysteel she was from Palestra a product of the union of Prince Palatine and Adams daughter Adana dam of the stake winner and sire Ariel and Nedana also a winner of stakes and the dam of stake winner Swing and Sway SwayLady Lady Marylands dam Palestra was a rather good producer Besides her illfated daughter she brought forth Highland Chief twentyseven wins Prince Pettie six ¬ teen wins Crepe Satin three wins and winners Elegant dam of the stake winner Sir Baker Polly Mac Stealaway and Star Pal dam of the stake winner Horometer
