Ogma Reported Ready for #43 Debut at Washington Park HOMEWOOD, 111., June 23.— Expected soon to make his 1943 debut is Thomas B. Cromwells Ogma. This three-year-old son of Grand Slam and Bluette won the James H. Connors Memorial Stakes and the William Penn Stakes last year. He was second in the Lafayette Stakes and the Walt Whitman Stakes. He is a half brother to Ogham, winner of the Lafayette Stakes and his other two starts this year. Ogma was turned out last fall and was not placed in training until late in February. However, track conditions at Keene-land and at Washington Park, soon after the colt arrived from Kentucky, retarded his preparation. Trainer Bert B. Williams reports the colt is advancing nicely and now he hopes to have him under colors within a fortnight.
