Nebraska Commission Allots Dates for Two Fair Meetings OMAHA, Neb., June 23. — After reconsidering the application for dates for the Columbus County Fair and the Lincoln State Fair, which they at first had turned down, the Nebraska State Racing Commission today approved dates for a 21 -day meeting at the former track and an 18 -day session at Lincoln. The Columbus Fair will open July 24 and run through August 21 with no racing on Mondays, while Lincoln will get under way on August 23 and continue on through September 11, Mondays included. Seven races will be offered daily, with the exception of Saturdays and holidays when an eight-event program is contemplated. During the week twilight racing will prevail. Richard A. Leigh, Sr., who has served as presiding steward and racing secretary at the Ak-Sar-Ben meetings here in past years and who presently is employed as racing secretary at Fairmount Park, has been engaged as presiding steward and racing secretary for both the Columbus and Lincoln meetings:
