i Paumonok, Dixie Weights Released Campbell, McLennan Assign Tops to Apache, Devil Diver, Shut Out and Thumbs Up "With the eastern racing season scheduled to get under way in New York at Jamaica next Saturday and in Maryland at Pitnlico the following week, weights for the Paumonok Handicap and the Dixie Handicap were announced Saturday. For the ,500 Paumonok, at six furlongs, handicapper J. B. Campbell placed Apache and Devil Diver at the top of the list of the 35 eligibles with 130-pound imposts, while racing secretary C. J. McLennan assigned equal top weights of 126 pounds to Shut Out and Thumbs Up for the Dixie, which has an endowment of 0,000 this year and which will be run on May 6. Slide Rule has been assigned 127 pounds for the Paumonok and the weights then drop down to 120 for Cassis and 119 for Eurasian.
