SHERLOCK, a keen factor throughout, held on well in a good effort, but could not withstand the winner. MEANWHILE, slow to begin, worked his way up steadily and closed fast under punishment. ARIEL IMAGE raced to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, then faltered. CANNONS BANNER had no excuse. PRINCESS OLO lacked early speed. MON FLAG never was dangerous. RIGHT CARLA had no mishaps. NETTIE BOLD quit after displaying earlv speed. Won driving; second and third the same. BOOK PLATE, never far back, overcame interference from REAPING GEM during the stretch run and disposed of the latter in the last strides. REAPING GEM went to the front early, held a clear lead when settled for the drive, but drifted out while tiring and just missed. GUMMED UP, well handled, came determinedly in the stretch, but could not get to the leaders. UHHUH faltered after displaying early speed. PRECO raced evenly without mishap. VALDINA NYMPH stumbled leaving the gate, recovered under good handling and tired after being rushed into contention. CODE MENTOR lacked early speed. DARE had no excuse. CELESTI F. was done earlv. Won driving; second and third the same. WHOSYOURGAL began fast, gave way to WOODFQRD ANNIE near the stretch, but came again when set down for the drive and held SCARED CARDS safe. The latter, forwardly placed from the start, came to the inside entering the stretch and reached the lead between calls, but could not withstand the winner. WOODFORD ANNIE began in a tangle, was hustled to gain a good position and tired after reaching the lead on the final turn. LIBERTY BON had no mishaps. GRAY DOTTIE faltered nearing the finish. The latter took command at once, gave way to WALTHAM CROSS after three eighths, but continued resolutely to best the others. HOOSIER, away slowly and on the outside to the stretch, was taken to the inside for the drive, but lacked racing room near the finish. IN THE ROUGH raced evenly without mishap. TERRY MAY, on the outside throughout, could not better her position under good handline. VINUM, on the inside and forced to take up at the upper turn, failed to recover. JIM PAT showed nothine.
