LIQUID LUNCH was quick to begin, showed speed and had no mishaps. ESTERITA from a slow beginning closed fast. REAPING GEM was taken up at the •tart. BUBBLING IMAGE made up some eroiind. POLYNESIAN forced the pac« from the start and responded when placed to pressure in the final furlong, came again and disposed of PAVOT in the final strides. The latter was under restraint in the early running, came around the leaders rounding the far and stretch turns, was then sent to the inside when well settled in the stretch, assumed command for a few strides, then buns; under severe pressure in the final drive. KING DORSETT showed early speed, bore out slightly in the stretch run, then faltered. DOCKSTADER was slow to settle in his stride, made up some ground but could not menace the leaders. GREEK WARRIOR saved ground while racing forvvardly and then tired. ALABAMA ran in spots. CHIEF BARKER had no mishaps in tht running.
