Stake Candidates Meet In Delaware Route Test Gay Bit, Alfios and He Rolls Among Quintet in Smyrna Purse STANTON, Del., June 6.— Three candidates for Pimlicos rich Dixie Handicap on June 16 and for the Sussex Handicap here the following Saturday will swing into action tomorrow in the Smyrna Purse, mile and a sixteenth feature or the program offered by Delaware Park. They are Gay Bit and Alfios, from the Bobanet Stable of R. Bruce Livie of Baltimore, and Edgehill Stables He Rolls, owned by Steve Jackson of Wilmington. Opposing the stakes trio will be Mrs. C. S. Bromleys In Question and Margaret Mc-Callums Reztips. Alfios will be top weight of the small 1 field under 116 pounds, to 114 for In Ques- I tion and He Rolls, while Gay Bit packs 113 and Reztips gets in under an assignment of 107. He Rolls, fast closing fourth behind Rounders in the Brandywine Handicap last Saturday, looms as the likely choice to score in the Myrna, with the Bobanet entry rated as dangerous. Alfios was right with the pace in the Brandywine for a mile and wound up sixth. Gay Bit disappointed in that stake and improvement is expected tomorrow. In Question will be making his seasonal debut and his class is unquestioned, although he may need this outing before turning in a top effort. Reztips is regarded as a sprinter, but under 107 pounds is likely to prove troublesome. Secondary attraction on the card is the Middletown Purse at a mile and 70 yards. and a field of 10 will furnish the contest Homeward Bound, Lost and Found, Signal Corps, Squadron, Red Cin. Samhar, Car-mus, High Command, Bottle Imp and Art Brown make up the field.
