PINAFORE offered the chief contention from the start and held on well. WAZA ! WALLA, a»ay slowly and taken back on the turn, saved ground enteiing the stretch and finished well. HIGH WE, close up from the start and saving ground early, came out after taking command and, tiring, won under pressure. SEMINOLE had speed from the start, raced wide early, but cut to the inside after losing command and held on gamely. MINSTREL SONG, on the inside from the start, showed an even effort. SENATOR T., ■way very slowly, finished strongly. DRAWBY moved up slightly inside the final quarter, but faltered in the last sixteenth. CARBONATE bore out on the turn. EQUAL CHANCE, also away well, crossed to the inside earlv, OMM again in the drive, but weakened near the end. BELL CALL, impeded early, moved up fast, took the lead entering the stretch, but faltered badly. ALEX BOY, away in a tangle, tired under picture and pulled up lame.
