Boost Purse of Ak-Sar-Ben Inaugural Handicap to ,500 OMAHA. Neb., June 6.— The Ak-Sar-Ben Racing Committee has authorized increasing the Inaugural Handicap purse on June 19 from ,200 to ,500. in approving the condition book for the first two weeks of racing as prepared by racing secretary Dick Leigh. The Inaugural, at six furlongs, thus will be the richest event of the opening weeks program, with the second best the follow- , jng Saturday "s Ak-Sar-Ben Princess Hand-Hap at ,200. another six-furlong sprint. The condition book lists no open races under 00 and has a liberal sprinkling of 00, 00 and ,000 purses. As further encouragement to Nebraska horsemen. Ak-Sar-Ben will offer a 5 War Bond to the owner of any Nebraska-bred winning an open race where the purse is less than ,000. and a 0 War Bond if the purse is more than ,000. As before, 3 per cent of the first money of every purse won by a Nebraska -bred will be paid to the breeder of the winner. This applies to all races.
