GUEYDAN, much the best and inclined to bear in, started up on the stretch turn, was brought around the leaders with some difficulty and. alter uetling up, swerved to the inside when drawing out. HOl.T saved eround and held on eaniely. HOME FRONT had speed, came out in the stretch and gave way gradually when approaching the finish. MONEY TROUBLES began slowly and showed a good effort. BOLD CHANCE, away fast but unable to keep up, moved with a rush on the inside alter reaching the turn, came through along the rail when wearing down CALM PORT and, ridden out. had little left. CALM PORT made the pace under good ratine, swung wide into the stretch and continued well to the last sixteenth, where he faltered. BRIGHT REIGH finished resolutely and was wearing down CALM PORT. TONY LEO took command quickly, drew out while continuing in hand and won easily. MONIGHAN went for-wardly from the start and was holding on gamely at the end. SAN YET also showed a courageous effort. SWIFT FLIGHT, away poorly and bearing to the inside throughout, closed well through the stretch and was wearing down SAN YET. SYLS BOBBY, taken back early, was not a factor thereafter. OLD SILK, saving much ground, sprinted into command on the stretch turn, briefly gae way to TOPIC in the drive but, holding on stubbornly, returned to the lead in the last stride. TOPIC raced wide from the start, gained a short advantage under urging but persisted in bearing in when tiring, and this probably cost him the rare. HEAD FLIGHT saved much ground. UNCLE OTHO. under a steady hold early, held on well without need of strong urging. DROLLON lost ground and closed well in his good effort. PLAY BOB. much used early, did not keep up in the stretch.
