DIEXTOL. off sluggishly and sl w to settle into his best stride, went wide entering the stretch, swerved slightly ju*t inside the furlong pole, then recovered well to be up in the concluding stride. LOST MATE sprinted to the fiont early, saved ground while beine well rated but stopped nearing the end. FERNLET raced nearest the leader most ot the way. loomed dangerously enteiing the stretch but could not overtake the top one. JET PLANE may show improvement over the race. TOP MONEY, well placed on the outside from the start, drew clear gradually soon alter entering the stretch and held sway while drifting out slightly . DICK MANNERS raced with the winner from the start and was best of the others. SECOND LOVE dropped back early, then made up ground gradually in the closing test. PARTIDO failed to become a serious threat. HOOSIER WOLF, in contention for five furlongs, faltered in the final eighth. GOOD NITE made up some ground. ROYAL DISPLAY Hashed speed. TACK ROOM was steadied when outrun early, moved up gradually to the furlong pole, displaced the leader soon after and held sway under pressure. REFRESH was sluggish early, took the overland route and was getting to the top one. MAMYE W. showed a fair effort but could not seriously threaten. OCR DAMSEL, off much better than in her pievious race, set a eood pace to the furlong pole, then flattened out. VICTORY BLUE showed a very dull • flort. STORMY BILL was racing in the first flight when crowded back leaving the three and one-half furlongs pole. Overweight — Stormy Bill. 4 pounds. Corrected weight— Refresh, 114; Stormy Bill. 106.
