I | i 1 j i Jockey John Beedle Succumbs To Injuries Received in Fall CHARLES TOWN, W. Va.. June 7.— Jockey John Beedle, injured in a spill in the eighth race at Charles Town last Saturday, died in Charles Town General Hospital at 7:00 a. m. this morning, without regaining consciousness. Beedle was from Mount Jackson, Va., where the funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10 a. m. The deceased was 33 and is survived by two brothers and a sister. The fatality occurred at the first turn and involved five horses and riders, two of whom were unhurt. In addition to Beedle, jockeys Sammy Palumbo and George Franklin received injuries which necessi- tated hospitalization. Both will be discharged from the hospital soou.
