Pascoag Park Opens Meeting Of Forty-Two Days Duration PASCOAG, L. I., N. Y.. June 9.— Well- filled races will mark the opening of Pas- l coag Park here on Monday, racing secre- i tary Gordon Morrow getting a generous response to his card from horsemen stabled here and at Narragansett Park. Feature event of the eight-race program is the Inaugural, an 00 purse event of six and a half furlongs for three-year-olds and upward. Such capable sprinters as Renraw, Lightning Play. Bomb Berlin. Character Man, Jump Bid. Vain Beauty, Judfry, ; Macks Miss and United were entered for this event. There are three 00 purse races and four with 00 purses offered on the card. Horsemen today reported the racing strip j in good condition. The barns are filled and many horses will stay at Narragansett to 1 run here during the 42-day meeting which 1 goes through July 28. Samuel C. Nuckols of Versailles, Ky., is returning to the steward stand, a post he has held here for several meetings. William Schamahorn will do the starting. B. A. Dario, treasurer and general manager of this half-mile track, said today all 1 i was in readiness for the opening, and he I ! anticipates another successful meeting.
