Drummond Attracts , Polly • i Thirty-Two Nominations Ararat, Sixtyminutes, Mamanie And Bramblette in ,500 Stake STANTON, Del., June 9.— A total of 32 ! nominations has been received for the Polly ■ Drummond Stakes, ,500 juvenile filly attraction which will feature the Delaware Park program on Thursday, June 14. The entries for this stake have brought considerable ; satisfaction to racing secretary Edward J. Brennan, who has secured many of the topnotchers. Among these are such as Ararat, Mamanie, Bramblette and Malvaset, already at the local oval. Along with these are rated a group of invaders from New York, including Sixtyminutes, Axiom and Mush Mush. Ararat is a light chestnut daughter of Pairbypair — Pretty Sis, and was named after Mt. Ararat in the biblical story of the Ark, in which the animals entered two by two. Wearing the light blue colors of the Brandywine Stable, Ararat made a fine race in her initial outing, showing the way to Howell E. Jacksons pace-making Bramblette, an offspring of Okapi — Blue Ensign. Mamanie, high-priced purchase of the Cedar Farm, lived up to promise in the initial race of the lively Delaware Park campaign. The dark chestnut was bought for 3,000 at the yearling sales and may be a bargain before her first year in racing has ended. She is a Mahmoud — Manie OHara filly. Good Cross, a winner at Pimlico for the Bobanet Stable, is one of two good lassies in training for that stable on the grounds. Her stablemate, Ariel Song, also showed fair form at the Baltimore track. Good Cross is by Good Advice — Cherry Cross and Ariel Song is an Ariel — Clever Song chestnut. Col. C. V. Whitneys popular stable will have two good ones training for the five-furlong stake in Axiom, brown daughter of Boojum or Sky Raider — Assignation. Her training companion. Mush Mush, is a Mahmoud — Traffic racer.
