Riders Delegation Attends Funeral of Johnny Beedle CHARLES TOWN, W. Va., June 9.— A delegation of jockeys journeyed from Charles Town to attend the funeral of jockey Johnny Beedle. Rites were held at his home in Mount Jackson, Va., at 10 a. m. Saturday. Included in the group were Adam "Scotty" Prain, local representative of the Jockeys Guild; Patsy Grant, George Rose, Ralph Edens, George Acosta and Agent Ralph Wilhelm. Jockey Sammy Palumbo, released from the Charles Town General Hospital on Thursday, feels sufficiently recovered from injuries sustained in a spill last Saturday to resume saddle activities at once. Jockey George Franklin, injured in the same accident, is expected to be discharged from the hospital today.
