Ak-Sar-Ben Is All Set For Tomorrows Opening Leigh Reports Sufficient Horses Available for Season of 30 Days OMAHA. Neb., June 16.— Officials of Ak-Sar-Ben announced yesterday afternoon 1 that everything is in readiness for the race ! meeting which will get under way here I Tuesday. The plant has been put in spic and span condition for the return of thoroughbred racing, and patrons who take , in the opening will see an entirely renovated • plant. Leigh Sr., , who returned from Chicago several days | ago, announced that he had sufficient I horses to begin the season, and stated there , j were many stables on their way- here to participate in the local racing. Jim Ronin, track superintendent, has the - track in exceltent condition for the opening, and should there be no rain here in the e next few days, the course should be B lightning fast for the inaugural program. Entries for opening day will be taken Monday morning. Horsemen have been negligent in applying for licenses and badges, and, officials are making. a special request for them to look after this matter immediately.
