i Stymie Given Top Impost of 128 For 0,000 Brooklyn Handicap First Fiddle in Receipt of * Six, Gallorette Ten Pounds From 1945 Winner of Stake AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 12.— Mrs. Ethel D. Jacobs Stymie, who won last years Brooklyn Handicap under 116 pounds, has been assigned topweight of 128 for this years renewal of the historic 0,000 mile and a quarter, which will be run on Saturday, June 22. Mrs. Eddie Mulrenans First Fiddle, who has the distinction of having won more money than any other gray horse in turf history, but has slipped badly in recent months, is next in line with 122. Murlogg Farms Fighting Step is third on the Brooklyn weight roster with 120 pounds, followed by W. L. Branns valiant, if somewhat delicate filly, Gallorette at 118. Gallorette has more than once showed that she can beat colts when at her best, but seems unable to hold her peak form for long. She was a galloping winner at Delaware Park yesterday. B. A .Murphys Concordian, winner of the McLennan Handicap and second to Armed in the Widener at Hialeah, is next with 116, but is a doubtful starter. Concordian has not been out since the Widener and is not doing too well. Other Likely Brooklyn Starters Other likely prospects in the Brooklyn are Mrs. Louis Rabinowitz Reply Paid, 115; B. F. Whitakers Chief Barker, 112, and W. Goadby Loews Helioptic, 108. In past years the Brooklyn was one of the great sporting events of the New York area, with a future book enhancing the interest in the event for months before the running. In comparatively recent times it has been won by such good horses as Discovery three times Seabiscuit, Whirlaway and Devil Diver. Of this seasons candidates, only Stymie seems possibly worthy of mention in such company. The complete list of weights for the Brooklvn follow: 1 Horse. Wt.
