► Mercator Bows Tendon DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 12. — W. H. Lipscombs Mercator, third in the recent Hitchcock Steeplechase Handicap, came out of the race with a bowed tendon and will be on the shelf for some time. Trainer W. G. Jones again examined his clever leaper upon his arrival here and stated that it is very doubtful if he will stand serious training. Mercator is an eligible for the Georgetown and Indian River Steeplechase Handicaps here.
