Turf Oddity at Delaware DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 14. Delaware Park provided fans with another racing oddity today when there was show betting conducted on a four-horse field. The strange situation developed in the third race on the program when Paradise Farms Big Demand injured herself in the starting gate, and was withdrawn by order of the stewards, leaving only four starters. Big Demand was a close second choice to the favored Fall Guy. All money wagered on Big Demand was refunded. Oddly enough the association did not sustain a loss in the show pool.
