CARLASUE began fast, but could not keep up early, was taken out for the drive and, responding to urging, disposed of the leaders, then held BIG BURLY safe. The latter, in close quarters after the beginning, came determinedly when clear for the stretch run, but could not reach the winner. HAPPY ME, a keen factor from the beginning, reached the lead entering the stretch, but could not retain his advantage under brisk handling. SGT. RICE raced evenly in a good effort. AERIAL GUNNER was never dangerous. EXPORT had a rough trip. WINKIE raced wide. ODER began very slowly and was never prominent. SPIN STEP bore out while displaying speed after the beginning, bothered CHAIN BAY and failed to stay after reaching the stretch. CHAIN BAY, forced to take up sharply after the break, did not recover. The latter raced evenly to the final quarter, responded to punishment during the drive and was getting to the winner at the end HEAVE HO assumed command early, made the pace to the stretch, then faltered. OLIDOR raced very wide throughout, came stoutly when straightened up for the drive, but could not overhaul the leaders. MIA MARIA tired after showing early speed. BAGNELL was outrun. AS BOLD could not keep up. TRAVEL began slowly. DOUBLE DUTY never was prominent. SILENT PLAY began fast, raced well to the stretch, then broke down badly. BALLARITA went to the front early, held a clear lead when settled in the stretch and, ridden out, steadily increased her advantage. CONFIRMATION, forwardly placed throughout, came determinedly when roused for the drive, but could hot menace the winner, although besting CHINA PRINCESS in the last stride. The latter held on well while racing on the outside to the final quarter, then weakened during the last eighth. STELLA SNYDER began fast, but could not keep up. MIAMI ROSE was done after racing prominently to the stretch. DELIVER never was dangerous. HAPPY DOE, fractious at the post, showed nothing in the running. FOURTH RACE 6 1-2 FURLONGS out of chute. SOME BID went to the front at once, made the pace under urging and held on gamely through the stretch to withstand ARIELITA. The latter, a keen factor from the start, was on the outside during the drive and finished strongly, but could not overhaul the winner. VALDINA AIDE, In close quarters during the first half, responded readily when clear in the stretch and closed stoutly under urging. SIERRA JEAN raced evenly in a good effort and had no excuse. VALDINA -BRIGHT could not better his position under good handling. KAMPS REWARD, slow to reach her best stride, was sent to the inside entering the stretch and finished willingly under punishment. GUEYDAN, bothered on the upper turn when INVERMARK GIRL bore in, was taken up sharply and failed to threaten thereafter. FIREWORKS was outrun. GAL ANN raced wide. LEIDA made a good bid when roused for the drive, then faltered nearing the finish. OVERSEAS, fractious at the post and slow to begin, could not better her position when hard ridden through the stretch. LOACHAPOKA began fast, but could not keep up. SEAMANS PAL quit badly after racing prominently to the stretch. PIE MAN had early speed, was tiring when bumped by GREAT PLAINS near the furlong pole and nearly fell. BARVAL showed nothing. LOVE SONNET, slow to begin and on the extreme outside throughout, came gamely when set down in the drive, but could not menace the winner. MAE BRIGHT saved ground to the final quarter, then drifted out while finishing determinedly under punishment. JIMMYS ROSE ducked out at the start, worked her way forward steadily after straightening up and closed stoutly when hard ridden through the stretch. MESCARA forced the pace to the stretch, then weakened. SNOW KISS, forced wide entering the stretch, could not threaten thereafter. GEORGE GAINS assumed command early, made the pace to the stretch under pressure from MESCARA, but had nothing left for the drive. PATRICIA B. was done early.
