Apropiado Winner Of Suffolk Stake Gains Length Decision Oyer Johnny Jr. in Bunker Hill As Favored Ellis Is Third SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 17. The combination of Longchamps Farms Apropiado and the countrys leading rider, Joe Licausi, clicked to take down top honors in the eleventh renewal of the Bunker Hill Handicap, a one mile dash featured here at Suffolk Downs this afternoon. The recent invader from the metropolitan circuit had a length advantage at the end over Little River Stables Johnny Jr., with the short-priced favorite. A. F. Plocks Ellis a neck farther back. Spangled Game, topweight of the field of 10 starters closed fast to earn the prize offered for fourth money a half-length behind the third horse. In accounting for his fourth victory in seven starts this year, the roan son of Gino gaines considerable followers from the crowd of 23,212 for his coming assignment in the 0,000 Massachusetts Handicap to be run here on July 4.
