Louisiana State Legislature Agrees on Compromise Tax Bill NEW ORLEANS, La., June 17. The Louisiana state legislature has agreed upon a compromise race track tax bill which gives the city of New Orleans a much larger cut in tax revenues from New Orleans Pair Grounds track. The bill will give Louisiana State University 50,000 yearly in taxes from the Fair Grounds for experimental breeding of horses and cattle. With three-fourths of whats left going to the new New Orleans general fund and the other one fourth to the state general fund. I
