EVIDENT moved up fast in the far sixteenth, was lucky to keep up when racing on the inside of the leaders reaching the turn, .took command when clear and, continuing well, won with something left. BLUE SEAL had speed from the beginning while racing wide, did not rally to increased pressure in the last three-sixteenths, but held on well. BAREFOOT LAD moved up on the turn and hung briefly after reaching the stretch, but was racing well at the end. BUSY PONY, well back for three-eighths, came strongly thereafter. BALSAMAR was held safe. BUSYBO finished well. CAMPAGNAS CAL weakened badly. CHERRY CIRCLE began slowly and lacked speed throughout. HAVANA LAD forced the early pace under strong restraint, took command quickly as OLGA S. swung wide, was hustled into wider command after reaching the last eighth and held sway to win with something left. TOP BOOK- bettered her position gradually, cut to the inside in the stretch and wore down OLGA S. in the last sixteenth. The latter had speed, drifted out entering the stretch and weakened thereafter. LOANGO, well up from the beginning, also lost ground entering the stretch and came again mildly in the late stages. MR. DANNY finished full of run. DEVILS FROLIC did not keep up. WOODFIN bore out on thetum. OFF AT 3:16 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. MAX OSULLIVAN, forwardly placed and saving ground from the start, responded readily when roused entering the stretch and, after disposing of MIAMI MOON, won going away. The latter went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, gave way to the eventual winner, but continued gamely to best the others. INTRIGUING, forced wide on the final turn, finished strongly under urging. PETSOME, on the outside throughout, was going stoutly at the finish. OVERSEAS began slowly, moved up fast after the start and raced prominently to the stretch before tiring. PORT MARS could not keep up. MESCARA quit after making the pace to the stretch. BUZZY BOY was done early. JUDGE SALES rider was injured during the running and the boy could not do his mount justice. Petsome claimed by B. Fogelson FOURTH RACE 3-4 MILE. MAUD LEA began sluggishly, moved up fast during the first quarter to assume command, gave vay momentarily to LAURAMAR approaching the stretch, then came again when mildly roused and, disposing of the latter, won going away. LAURAMAR, a keen factor from the beginning, held on well while engaging MAUD LEA to the final quarter, then weakened. DISDOMO, away slowly, worked his way forward steadily and responded well when set down in the drive, but could not get to the leaders. THUNDER HOOF raced evenly and had no mishap. ROSCOE GOOSE tired. JEZROS was never prominent. EASY TRADE gave way after showing early speed. KARAKORUM was done early and bled after going a half mile. Scratched 00430 Sweet Comet, 117. FIFTH RACE 3-4 MILE. BOSAGE went to the front at once, made the pace to the stretch under good handling and, responding to punishment during the drive, lasted to withstand HOLLYMAN. The latter, forwardly placed from the beginning, came determinedly when hard ridden through the stretch, but could not overhaul the winner. SERGEANT BILL held on willingly in a good effort and had no excuse. TASAJILLO, in close quarters immediately after the beginning, worked his way forward when clear, but could not better his position when set down for the drive. CHOPPY SEA, away poorly, came to the outside entering the stretch and closed fast. JUKE BOX was outrun. ITS HER had early speed. LUCKY COLONEL was never dangerous. OVERCROSS could not keep up. SPENCE lost ground while forcing the pace to the final three-eighths, moved up boldly when roused and, between horses during a long drive, lasted to withstand RICHMOND JAC. The latter, reserved and within striking distance of the leaders to tic stretch, lost ground when moving up on the final turn, then closed stoutly, but could not overhaul the winner. OLD KENTUCK, forwardly placed and saving ground from the beginning, held on determinedly when hard ridden through the stretch, but was not good enough. TAKE WING was outrun. MY STAR, away fast but taken back, was under a strong hold to the last three-sixteenths, responded willingly and, disposing of UP FRONT, drew away and held SUGAR CHEST safe. The latter raced wide, moved up gradually and closed well in a good effort. CHANCE TAKER, unable to improve his position early, closed well on the inside. UP FRONT, under strong restraint early, took command on the inside as PRINCE SANG bore out, then weakened in the last three-sixteenths. ROSE CANYON made up ground in the late stages. WIRE QUEST lost much ground. PRINCE SANG had speed, dropped back when bearing out on the final turn and continued to drop back thereafter. SASSY PATRICIA had speed and was weakening when she stumbled slightly approaching the final straightaway. DANADA FLASH and TIDEOVER began poorly and had little chance.
