French Star May Be Sent To U. S. for Match Races JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y., June 27. Maj. Tom McCreery said today that there was a strong prospect of a series of invitational match races at Belmont Park this fall, between the French champion three-year-old, Prince Chevalier, and the leading American colts in training at that time. The match races depend on the success of Paul Vercherres colt in this Sundays Grand Prix de Paris, for which he is a solid favorite, having won all the classic races for colts of his age in France this year. G. H. Fairhurst, English horseman, who imported the good mare Nad-ushka to this country, is sailing from Boston on the He de France tomorrow, and in the event of Prince Chevaliers success on Sunday, will make arrangements for the invasion.
