Illinois Notes LINCOLN FIELDS at Washington Park Homewood HI June 8 8Veteran Veteran trainer William L Hoag has taken over the training duties of A Fran ¬ cos young racer Count Quick Richard T Watts has taken over the conditioning of the twoyearold Mad Mo ¬ ments for the prominent Kentucky owner Phil T Chinn John M Goode this morning received from Lexington Ky two racers to aug ¬ ment the large public stable he conditions The new arrivals were J A Goodwins Bal larita and Vera and George Smiths Spring Chimes Jockey Ellsworth Sylvia was a belated ar ¬ rival here coming from the capital city of our southern neighbor Mexico Sylvia rode with considerable success at the Hipodromo de las Americas bein astride The Gike in his triump in the Derby Mexicano and also Handicap de las Americas Trainer R B Berini is expected momen ¬ tarily at Arlington Park where he will bed down a string of eight head which he cam ¬ paigned at the recent Garden State meet ¬ ing Trainer Charles Grayson departed for River Downs today with the twohorse stable he conditions The racers Grayson will campaign at the southern Ohia track are Ann Beiltro and Miss Virgie VirgieJockey Jockey Steve Brooks who is currently discomforted by dental difficulties will re ¬ main in light action during the next few days instead of taking a complete vacation as he originally planned Brooks is ex ¬ pected to confine his activities to contract mounts for Dixiana DixianaTrainer Trainer John A Nerud this morning sent five of his charges to be turned out at Herbert M Woolfs Woolford Farm in Kansas City Kans The racers returning to home paddocks are Devastating Great Issue Successor Endorsement and Influ ¬ ential entialApprentice Apprentice Robert Norman will have completed his 10day suspension Friday and he will accept mounts for that pro ¬ gram Before his forced inactivity Norman displayed ability astride several winning mounts Trainer Carmody Vanscoy this morning received an additional racer to add to his useful string here The newcomer was J P Kampmeyers Kamps Reward who arrived from AkSarBen in Omaha Nebr Trainer C Scott this morning sold Joseph Steins Copper Pot to D McKinney The new owner will leave shortly with his stable for River Downs Deverne Emery acting for L L Emery sold privately to L G Sweitzer the filly Miss Pitty She will be sent to trainer Marion Barton who will campaign her at the Detroit Fair Grounds GroundsHemboss Hemboss was added to the string trained here by C Vanscoy having been shipped to this point from AkSarBen in Omaha Nebr Hemboss runs in the interest of J P Kampmeyer
