PEAZY improved his position steadily to reach the leaders in the early stretch, then drew clear to win easily. HARD TO GET wrested command entering the stretch but was no match for the winner. GILDED FOX, rated while in front for a half-mile, tired through the stretch. CHAL-GLASS raced forwardly to the stretch, then dropped back after being in close quarters along the inside. GUMPTIOUS made up ground but failed to threaten. ENCASED broke slowly and weakened after moving into contention on the turn. LIKAROCK was through early. PHONEY, slow to settle into best stride, took the overland route while rallying and continued on well to wear down GRAB BAG. The latter held a commanding lead after a half mile, was hard ridden through the stretch and just missed. ABBEY, badly outrun for a half mile, was unable to menace the top pair while rallying nicely. DREIST showed speed, then faltered. WEDGEWOOD lacked a menacing rally when placed to pressure. DREAM AMERICA showed speed between horses early, then quit MAIL COACH and LITTLE FANG hsd speed, then weakened badly and both fell passing the three-sixteenths pole. FRANCELIA raced evenly while prominent from the start GOLDEN GESTURE raced along the inside but could not keep up. JUSTA CRACKER raced evenly. PENSTONE may improve. PIP PIP, hustled to the front at once and saving ground while being rated, responded to strong urging to gain the decision over QUEEN MAY. The latter rallied from just off the pace, but was not good enough. BLUE SAGE pressed the pace most of the way, but weakened in the final furlong. WILY broke slowly and saved ground to the stretch to reach contention, but lacked a rally. FAIR VISION could not threaten. DIXIE YANK, far back early, raced extremely wide while improving his position, but lacked a closing rally. TRIFLIN NEIBOR, hard held while racing forwardly, attained a slight lead nearing the stretch, but faltered. MR. EDD vied for the lead on the final turn, but tired. SMOKE PUFF flattened out badly. RIBARD moved over sharply while attaining the lead on the first turn and set the pace to the final bend, but quit COMPOSER was through early. GOOD SERVICE was badly crowded at the first turn. KING CHATTER was allowed to follow the pace, moved into the lead in the early stretch while in the center of the track, responded and bumped SERVICE PILOT while allowed to drift out then outfinished his opponent SERVICE PILOT, hard held until straightened for the drive, was carried out and bumped by KING CHATTER and just missed. Passmores claim of foul against the winner was not allowed. CEDRIC was much used to draw clear along the backstretch and flattened out badly in the final furlong. RETINTIN failed to rally sufficiently to become a threat BIR ACKEIM, hard hustled to race for the early lead, faltered badly. WALTERS BOY attained command nearing the stretch but was not good enough. ROY 0. held a slight lead briefly on the final turn, but was unable to retain the advantage -SIMON PURE set the pace and weakened. MISS PIDGEON dropped back steadily. ENDEAR was: taken up sharply when ridden with poor judgement at the first turn and tired after reaching contention. HIYA POP was forced wide early and quit badly. ENDTOWN, strongly rated while in front, had something in reserve after being displaced and came again to outfinish BUSHEL. The latter moved into command on the final bend, then was outgamed in the stretch drive. MARCSDAY moved up boldly along the inside leaving the backstretch, then rallied only mildly thereafter. IDLE MR. raced within striking distance, but lacked a rally. GREAT HOPE held a forward position, but failed to respond. GAY PILATE was through early. VIVA TEDDY turned in a dull effort.
