NBA Executive Committee Recognizes Allen as Champ NEW YORK, N. Y., May 8 UP.— Abe J. Greene, commissioner of the National Boxing Association, disclosed today that the N. B. A. executive committee has voted to recognize Terry Allen of England as world flyweight champion on condition that he defend within 90 days against Dado Marino of Hawaii. The N. B. A. endorsed Allens claim to the title after he had outpointed Honore Pratesi of France in a 15-round bout at London, April 25. The title had been vacated by the retirement of Rinty Monaghan of Ireland. J. Onslow Fane, chairman of the British Boxing Board of Control, confirmed to New York boxing writers today that his group will recognize as a world heavyweight title fight the bout between American Lee Savold and English Bruce Woodcock, scheduled for London, June 6.
