Michigan-Owned Stables In Quarters at Hazel Park DETROIT, Mich., May 10.— Hazel Park race track and stables were opened this week to Michigan-owned horses only, and the first contingents of thoroughbreds arrived Monday and Tuesday. About 200 horses, representing 55 different Michigan owners, were expected by the end of the week. Richard A "Dick" Connell, president of the Hazel Park Racing Association, pointed out that the horses, were being admitted" for training purposes only, and those who have not already been assigned stalls for the Hazel Park racing meet July 8 through September 4, must vacate by July 2. Connell reiterated that all 820 stalls at Hazel Park have been assigned, and no more applications can be considered.
