Plan to Build Several New Barns at Sportsmans Park SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, HI., May 10. — William. H. Johnston, president of the National Jockey Club which operates this track, today announced that a number of important improvements will be made and should be completed before the fall meeting here. Foremost on the schedule are the construction of several new barns. This will make it possible to house more horses during the harness meeting to be held here in the summer. Johnston also stated that contracts have been let for an all-steel tower. 62 feet high, to house the stewards and judges. The structure will be situated in back of the finish line between the grandstand and clubhouse and will be connected to the latter by a catwalk. The barns are to be fireproof.
