Revive Tyro Stakes StakesOCEANPORT OCEANPORT N J May 6 The Tyro Stakes for twoyearold colts and geldings is to be revived at Monmouth Park during the 1952 racing season which opens1 June 14 The aptly named juvenile feature was an important twoyearold race during the days of old Monmouth Park when the course thrived in the 187093 era It de ¬ veloped into an outstanding test for the youngsters as they met from all corners of the turf globe This seasons revival is un ¬ der a 15000 purse and will be run on Sat ¬ urday July 26 as a major prep for the August 9 closing day running of the Sap ¬ ling Stakes The latter race has been in ¬ creased sharply in value from 10000 to 25000 added
