t j t i Sox Send Holcombe to Browns; Aloma Placed on Active List By the United Press The Chicago White Sox announced yes-i terday that they have sent pitcher Ken Holcombe, who has a 0-5 -record this year with the Chicagoans, to the St. Louis Browns on waivers. At the same time, they announced restoration to the active list of pitcher Luis Aloma, who had been on the disabled list since May 7 after an operation for removal of his tonsils. Aloma won 6 and lost 0 for the Sox in 1951, but had been ineffective at the start of the 1952 season.
