OFF AT 1:48J EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. ANSWER MAN, steadied close to the early pace and clear on the outside, moved into command when ready and drew clear under steady pressure. MARINE CHARGER disposed of FIGHTING LOUIE before a half mile, set the pace until the stretch, then continued on gamely after giving up. EUGARP, a forward factor on the outside, had no mishap. LONG HILL moved into contention without urging. TEL-AVIV flattened out when put to a drive. QUIZ ME caught tiring horses--RUNYON FUND had no mishap. WARDRIL showed nothing. COMEALLYE was unable to keep up. ZANELLA was outrun. FIGHTING LOUIE quit. MY REDEMPTION dropped back early and pulled up lame. DANDY FOOT drew clear soon after the start, increased his advantage before a half mile, skirted the inner rail and had enough left to withstand the late rush of YOU AND ME. The latter, a trailer to the final turn, closed with a belated rush that just missed. MESL, forwardly placed on the outside, challenged mildly and weakened. BOLD BRENNAN dropped back after breaking alertly, was put to pressure early, lost ground on the outside and closed stoutly. OCEAN PLAY flattened out after nearing the pace. RAPT failed to respond to late pressure. THE PROPHET and HELANEIUS were outrun. BEV G. showed speed from the start, drew clear to the stretch and won with ease. GRAND NANCY improved position gradually on the extreme outside. MISS AMGO engaged for the lead at once, held on stubbornly until the final furlong and began tiring. STRONG ADVANCE went evenly. RUTH broke poorly, moved with a rush along the inside, but was unable to menace. tjARD BOOT lacked a late rally. GATICA-LINDA was in close quarters and failed to show anything when clear. EMERALD BELLE, slow to settle into stride, was roused after three furlongs, began working her way up on the outside, responded to steady pressure through the stretch and drew clear near the end. DOIT EASY raced LADY JASCUN into defeat, drew clear in the stretch, but was not good enough. PRINCELING was going well at the end. DOROTHY G. went evenly. LADY JACSUN showed speed for a half mile and tired. AMEN was never prominent. WORLD EMPRESS, forwardly placed for a quarter mile, retired steadily. JUDY R. was through early. FAYGRAY, outrun and unhustled while kept on the outside, responded when sent up on the outside and was along to outfinish EASTER ISLAND. The latter rushed boldly on the outside to take command before entering the stretch, drifted out under pressure and just missed . EASTER ISLAND was disqualified and placed third for bothering SWEET SIGRID entering ; the stretch. SWEET SIGRID, in close attendance of the leader, was forced to take up sharply when bothered, i recovered quickly, but was unable to reach the leaders. ULTIMATUM raced close to the pace, but was unable • to menace in the stretch. COURT ETHEL, a forward factor, held on stubbornly. BEAUTIFUL JANE, caught in l close quarters soon after the start and unable to get clear until the final quarter mile, came through along the inside and was bothered by weaving horse. B., unhustled while settling into easy stride, moved readily in the final quarter mile, overtook the leader inside the final sixteenth and drew out CROSS WISE outran his opposition to take a clear lead, was not allowed to loaf, shortened stride in the stretch and swerved slightly, brushing PLASTERED, was straightened and continued on gamely. PLASTERED forced the pace, moved to engage the leader entering the stretch, was bothered slightly and weakened TIGER MATT had no mishap. BUBS C. showed nothing. BARRE FLINT was unable to reach serious contention. U. S. BOUND was outrun. BROWNSKIN quit when unable to take command after three furlongs. JONES BROOK, in hand while kept within striking distance of the pace, swung to the outside for the drive, responded with a. late rush and was up in the final stride to outfinish CELLINI. The latter, reserved to the final quarter mile, saved ground to get the lead and just missed. KEEPING POSTED was sent into a comfortable lead after a quarter mile, saved ground and held on stubbornly in the final sixteenth before weakening. TOP BRASS rallied mildly in the late stages. BON VICTOIRE was allowed to drop far off the pace, made his move out in the middle of the track and was unable to make up appreciable ground. FANCY TALK was never prominent. PROHIBIT improved position gradually, was taken wide on "the final turn, responded willingly when straightened out and closed strongly. TIPSY II. opened a comfortable lead soon after the start, skirted the corners to the final turn, was allowed to drift out badly, came back in and was pressing to the end. LUSMORES, steadied until the final turn, saved ground, but was unable to catch the leaders. MR. FLARES raced in close attendance of the leader after a half mile, was carried wide and failed to recover. DIBILLANE saved ground to better posiiton. ESBIRRO slipped through along the inside to get on even terms with the leaders entering the stretch and faltered. THE DRONE went evenly. BILL HOWK showed nothing. TREDYFFRIN walked out of the gate and was a distant trailer. LORD PATHMATE was outrun. ASSASSINATOR acted as though he didnt relish the footing and was not extended after a quarter mile.
