Tomorrow is May Day and the Youthful Stakes is the featured offering This is a dash for twoyearolds at five furlongs and this New York fixture has a couple of standout events in its career which dates back to 1903 The 1930 running witnessed the dis ¬ qualification of Equipoise and thus permitting Vander Pool to wind up his twoyearold career unbeaten However Vander Pool was judiciously handled and dur ¬ ing the summer and fall managed to avoid conflict with many of the better twoyearolds of that year The disqualification of Equi ¬ poise was not looked upon with favor by the vast majority and arguments raged all tfirough the summer Another disqualification came out of the 1950 running when Bank Account after winning the first division was placed last and the award went to Iswas There never was any question as to the best horse to account for the Youthful and that was none other than Man o War Seven are in the Youthful tomorrow and the field is a well balanced one oneApril April by
