CBS to Televise Big Races Three Straight Saturdays SaturdaysBALTIMORE BALTIMORE Md May 2 The Colum ¬ bia Broadcasting System sfCBS has picked up its option on the 25000 Dixie Handicap at Pimlico on May 11 and thus will have tliree consecutive Saturdays of horse rac ¬ ing on a coasttocoast telecast The Ken ¬ tucky Derby this Saturday opens the se ¬ ries followed by the 56th running of the Dixie and completed by the 81st running of the 100000 Preakness on May 18 18Bryan Bryan Field and Chris Schenkel will handle the telecast for the Dixie Pimlicos featured turf course event They will be joined by Fred Capossela for the Preak ¬ ness production All three shows wjll be of halfhour duration The Pimlico Fu ¬ turity during the Baltimore tracks au ¬ tumn meeting also is scheduled for na ¬ tional television production
