Appoint Charles Triplet t Steward at Randall Park ParkYoung Young Official Brings Extensive Racing Background to New Post PostCLEVELAND CLEVELAND Ohio May 10 Appoint ¬ ment of Charles L Triplett as a steward for the 44day Randall Park meetmg open ing on July 18 was announced today by General Manager Edwin C Moon MoonThe The 36year old Kentuckian will be one of the youngest men fib serve in the stew ¬ ards stand at a Cleveland track This is part of our program to develop younger officials Moon said Triplett has estab ¬ lished himself as an outstanding official in various capacities and we believe he has earned a chance as a steward stewardTriplett Triplett who makes his home in Xouis ville has been part of racing since 1946 immediately following his release from the armed forces where he saw extensile ac ¬ tion in the European Theatre as part of the 99th Infantry Division DivisionHe He will bring to his ney job a wide and varied background of racing experience He has served as patrol judge paddock judge clerk of scales placing judge assist ¬ ant starter and assistant racing secretary He also has filled in in the stewards stand for brief periods at Crariwood Wheelini and Randall RandallMuch Much of his experience has been gained on Ohio and West Virginia tracks He also has worked at Delaware Park Churchill Downs Keeneland Oaklawn Park Fair Grounds Lincoln Fields Hawthorne Arlington Park and Washington Park TripleEt will assume his new duties at Randall immediately upon the completion of the Delaware Park meeting
