Club to be staged at Washington Park gets under way at the South Side course Monday and a banner session is being predicted The purses are rich in money awards with sprint handicaps and stakes be ¬ ing featured during the first two weeks Following the running of the Miss Chicago Stakes for a 15000 purse on opening day will be the 20000 Modesty Handicap at 6 furlongs for fillies and mares on the first Saturday and then the Continental Turf Handicap for 20000 added on the follow ¬ ing Saturday The big turf event of the Balmoral meeting is the 50000 added Balmoral Turf Handicap to be decided
