7T THE TWIN CITY HANDICAP From its first running iu 1SS4 the Twin City has been the leading handicap of the Coney Island Jockey Clubs fall meetings and neither the Brooklyn nor the Suburban shows more renowned racers in their lists oi winning and placed horses. Bersan, the famous "horned horse," Loiilsette. Elkwood, Exile, Firenze, Strnthmenth. Lamplighter. Galindo. Rey el Santa Anita. Requital, The Friar, Ethelhert, Gunfire, McCbes-ney. Iaughnawaga and Nealon were all racing stars of the first magnitude, and so were Eurus, Badge, Tournament, Raceland. Banquet, Henry of Navarre. Bungle, Bannockliuru, Blues and Hermis, all of which were beaten in essaying the capture of the Twin City. It was in this race the long-disputed question of the comparative excellence of McChesney and Hermis was settled in 1903. With 129 ounds on each, the two: cracks were on an equality and, coming from behind in the stretch, McChesney gave, Hermis as fair ami decisive a beating as one horse ever administered to another; The Twin City will be run for the twenty-sixth time this afternoon and its record is as follows: Year.
