NEW PLUNGER APPEARS AT SARATOGA A new plunger has loomed up at Saratoga. Who he is few seem to know, but he lias proved a "bear" in the club. He bets on good horses and certainly gathers the best information us a bet of ,000 on a horse is just an ordinary transaction. The first wager he made on Frederick the Great was . ,000 with one man at odds Of 2 to 1. All "outside" men have orders to put the telescopic eye on 1 1 in as soon as he walks from the paddock. When he approaches an odds layer a surging crowd of workers gather around him in an effort to see what business he transacts. AVhether he is an agent lor some one or acts for himself no one seems to know. All they can find out is that he bets heavily and no matter what horse he bets on that horse Is generally knocking at the door, which proves he is well -informed or has an abundance of horse sense.
