to the front frontSWERVES SWERVES TO INSIDE INSIDEAt At the threeeighths post Vander Pool was clear but Equipoise was moving up fast at that point and in a few strides was head and head with the unbeaten one The pair raced together to the quarter post where Workman touched Equipoise with his whip The latter increased his speed but as he did he swerved to the inside bumping Vander Pool and then as he passed the Allen colt he apparently crossed over on him himThe The Whitney colt quickly forged ahead of Vander Pool in the run home and at the sixteenth post he was so well in front that alignment and it was Nadia K which began first Her advantage was short lived for she was quickly passed by Wee Drop and Fuss Budget The latter two quickly drew away from the others Awe less was leading the others while Nadia K and Deedie were further back The two leaders continued to race head and head until well into the stretch where Fuss Budget quit suddenly Deedie then moved up with a rush after saving much ground on the turn Nadia K responded as did Irish Maiden which went to the outside turning for home Wee Drop held on gamely to the end and just managed to outlast Deedie while
