COLONEL LE, showing improved form, worked his way up steadily, got to LITTLE HANK in the last eighth and wore him down. The latter was rated close to the pace, moved to the fore when straiehtened in stretch, but could not withstand the winner. VILLA BANQUET showed a fine effort. GREAT MEADOWS, saving much ground, moved to the fore in the final quarter and held LOUP RIVER safe. The latter made up ground slowly, but was no match for the winner. COTLO BESS showed a good burst of speed while being hard pressed by BENEDICT T., but ran out at the stretch turn, carrying the latter with her. ENAB quit after a half. ROSIREIGH, well ridden and saving much ground all of the way, responded well to urging and outstayed ALTERNATIVE. The latter was prominent throughout and heid on with fine courage. MEGAI displayed a good effort. PRETTY PEG was taken back at the far turn for no apparent reason, but came again at the end. CATTY raced extremely wide turning into the home stretch. ANN WHAT quit. BRITLON had no excuses. MECAT set the pace and appeared the winner approaching the stretch turn, where he bolted to the outside fence and fell way back, then came again.
