. TO STRENGTHEN U. S. DEFENSE WASHINGTON, D. C, June 27.— Plans to spend some 07,532,583 for the army, navy and marine corps during 1936 were mapped out Wednesday. The total expenditure is 75,604,333 more than the total for 1935. The building program calls for the construction of twenty-four war ships, 555 navy planes, and 400 army planes.
