Suffolk Downs Two-Year-Old Stakes Are Well Patronized EAST BOSTON, Mass., June 13.— A swelling tide of nominations for the six major Suffolk Downs stakes, which close Friday, are reaching the desk of racing secretary Charles J. McLennan. McLennan reports that the trio of two-year-old features, the 5,000 Mayflower and the 0,000 Betsy Ross and Miles Standish, are being particularly well patronized. A bumper crop of eligibles for the 0,000 Massachusetts, the 5,000 Yankee and the I 0,000 Hannah Dustin is also promised, j Entries for the stakes close at midnight I Friday, by which hour virtually every handicap performer in the east is expected to be named for the rich features scheduled.
