Michigan Notes FAIR GROUNDS. Detroit, Mich., June 15. Apparently there is no paucity of horses here. Stabling accommodations, totaling 900, are practically taxed to capacity, and when the expected last-minute arrivals check in, the grounds will be filled. R. F. Bobby* Curran supervised quartering of 16 horses he assembled from New York and Delaware, 10 of them having been sent from the latter track. Heading the group were Mrs. Roy Carruthers Jimmie and E. D. Talberts One Only and Meneither. E. "Whitey" Ballinger, custodian of the jockeys quarters, announces that there are | some 30-odd riders on hand. Price Shuler has on the grounds the horses Yellow Kitten, Miss Flyer and Mis-I ter Say. The trio were wintered here. Jockey Frank Munden arrived from Nar-ragansett Park and reported to W. J. Susini, who has a string here. Jerry Rodriguez is handling the riding engagements for jockey Pat Milligan. who is contracted to Ray Grundy. The Grundy horses, five strong, came in from Churchill Downs. Fred A. Ross is handling the locally owned MacDonald Stable horses. Herb Claggett will attend to the bulk of the riding for the locally owned Bomar Stable. The establishments horses are trained by R. E. Potts. Cecil Howard supervised housing of 12 horses who will perform for the Canadian H. C Hatch. The string arrived from Churchill Downs. Jockey R. Watson will attend to the stables riding. The representatives of D. B. Carpenter whom trainer L. C Everitt campaigned at Randall Park were transferred here from the Ohio track. m Eddie Thomas, who officiated as starter here some eight years ago, is back as a placing judge.
