Polynesian Among Eligibles For Rich Yankee Handicap EAST BOSTON, Mass., June 18.— Racing secretary Charles J. McLennan returned from Pimlico enthusiastic over the response of horsemen to the stakes schedule at Suffolk Downs, recently closed. McLennan carried a sheaf of nominations for the 0,000 Massachusetts Handicap and other rich stakes, including most of those who competed on Preakness Day. "Polynesian, winner of the Preakness, has been named for the 5,000 Yankee Handicap," said McLennan, "and I have every hope he will come on for the July 4th race for three-year-olds. He ran a remarkable race on Saturday and proved himself a top colt."
