Won ridden out; second and third driving. DONNA M. G. assumed command soon after the start, withstood the early bid of SEA BEES, then held URANIUM safe under a smart .hand ride. The latter moved in closest attendance of the pace after a quarter mile and responded to steady urging, but was not good enough. F. B. EYE worked his way up on the inside to close with good energy. SMART EVE failed to make up ground under late pressure. MIXER went evenly. SEA BEES weakened when unable to gain the early lead. SPEEDEE BOZO had no mishap. WHAT GAL sprinted into command at once, saved ground on the turns and was not in danger while increasing her margin in the late stages. SKY CHILLA broke alertly, was kept in closest attendance of the pace, but was unable to make up ground under urging. GENTLE KAY improved her position steadily on the outside to finish well. ESS JAY ESS threatened mildly on the final turn, then weakened. SANDLOT lacked early speed, then made up ground along the inside. FANEUIL MISS broke in a tangle, was quickly straightened out, worked her way up on the outside to take command entering the stretch, then drew clear readily. LEFTY JIM moved into command soon after the start, moved over to the inside when clear, skirted the inner rail, but was no match when challenged. BER MAR BAY broke sluggishly, was allowed to settle into stride while going to the turn, then rallied mildly while losing ground. LITTLE CAPTAIN was well up early and had no mishap. ETERNAL SICKLE, quickest to begin, was through after three furlongs. RATON broke well, but was unable to keep up. Scratched— Miss Knightess, 107. Overweight— Eternal Sickle, 1 pound. KEIWELL assumed command after being straightened into the backstretch, maintained a clear lead under a snug hold, skirted the inner rail on the turns and responded to steady urging to hold FIRST REWARD safe. The latter, a forward factor on the outside of the leader, rallied mildly when straightened for the drive, but was unable to reach the leader. VINITA REV improved position gradually wtiile under restraint, was called upon for his best entering the stretch, but failed to rally. SO PROVOKED was unable to keep up. CRISIS had no mishap. BOO BOO SHOO, steadied within striking distance of the pace, was roused after six furlongs, moved into command inside the final quarter, then bore out slightly while * tiring at the end. DOLE, under light urging to remain close to the leaders, failed to rally when sent through »• on the inside. MR. CHAIRMAN moved threateningly on the final turn, but was not good enough. 0. G. SCIPIO, always a forward factor and securing clear racing room along the inside, assumed commnad as the leaders went wide entering the stretch, then withstood a steady drive from AMERICAN GLORY. The latter was hustled into the lead at once, remained abreast of AGRARIAN-U as the latter gained a slight lead, drifted out slightly entering the stretch, then closed determinedly under pressure. COLUMN, never too far off the pace, closed gamely on the extreme outside. AGRARIAN-U, unable to gain command until nearing the far turn, appeared to tire in the late stages. MARINE BAND was in close quarters on the far turn, recovered after being eased and closed gamely. LAWLESS MISS lacked early speed and was unable to gain clearing racing room. GRAND ENTRY lacked early speed. SAN JUSTO raced forwardly for a half. FANCY FLYER was in tight quarters early. GEE WHIZ had no mishap. NIMBLE TIGER quit after failing to gain command in the initial quarter. MANNA H. was forced to take back when caught in close quarters and showed nothing thereafter. I. yquickest to begin, was steadied to allow CURTAIN TIME to set the pace for a half, moved into command when ready, then survived a long strecht challenge from SILVERLING. The latter improved position steadily on the outside, gained a slight advatnage nearing the furlong marker, only to falter near the end. GROUND FOG finished with good energy. SHAKO, slow to settle into best stride, made up ground along the inside. RABIES failed to rally when put to pressure. DABSTER was in close quarters during the late stages. MON TORCH finished with good energy along the inside. IMAGE OF LOVE made up ground in the final furlong. ICED OVER raced SUNSPARK into submission early, set the pace for six furlongs, then weakened after being straightened for the drive. SHAVO sulked. ALONARY had no mishap. SUNSPARK tired.
