TOP ME, in hand while kept close to the pace, was sent to the outside on the final turn, responded under steady urging and drew clear near the end. ANNIES CHOICE forced the pace, but drifted out in the stretch, but held on gamely. PENCELL, outrun to the far turn, was forced to lose ground on the extreme outside while challenging the leaders. PHAELATER closed stoutly between horses. ULA faltered after setting the pace. PAPER MILL went evenly. WINGED flattened out after flashing brief speed. RABS SON saved ground to no avail. BATTLE BORN was never prominent. GUNNER had no mishap. GAY was in close quarters. JOSHUA was outrun. ONE HITTER, reserved close to the pace and kept on the outside down the backstretch, began moving to the leaders after seven furlongs, was roused after being straightened for the drive, gained command, drew clear and was in hand at the end. LIGHTS UP saved ground early, moved on the outside of horses midway down the backstretch, responded when sent up on the outside, but was unable to reach the winner. OUTLAND remained in close attendance of the pace along the inside, gained a slight lead as the leader drifted out, held on stubbornly, but was not good enough. OIL CAPITOL slipped through along the rail entering the stretch, but lacked a closing rally. LAMBENT saved ground to better late position. ABSTRACT had no mishap. TILENNY was outrun. ALL AT ONCE established the pace under light restraint, drifted out when challenged and. tired. BRISK flattened out when called on for a late drive. DE LUXE was never prominent." NEWSWEEKLY forced the pace under steadying restraint, was sent to the inside of horses entering the stretch, but lacked a rally. BLUE THANKS showed nothing. CRACK THE WHIP entered contention after a mile, then lacked a late rally. BELRATE was well placed, but was unable to threaten. DINNER PARTY showed nothing. GINO GRAY went evenly.
