Tilenny Finishes With High Speed to Overtake Dateline SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 9. — Jockey Charlie Burr got A. Ca-taldos Tiltenny running where it counted in the feature Middlesex Purse here today and the veteran racer nailed W. L. Huntleys Dateline right on the wjre to win by a nose. The choice seemed to have the race won passing the sixteenth pole, when Tilenny came flying down on the outside to alter the result. Four lengths in back of the deadlocked pair came C. Dupuys Crystal Pass, in the mile and a sixteenth test. Tilenny completed a double for Burr, who had won the previous race with Stag, and his backers in the crowd of 11,289 that turned out on a humid and hazy day, were rewarded with a 1.40 return. Tilenny covered the distance in 1:44%, a second off the track mark. In the earlier races, apprentice Anthony DeSpirito added to his already impressive riding record with a triple. Cataldos seven-year-old Tilenny was in for a claiming price of 1,000, but was a handicap performer around these parts for years. He twice won the Tomasello Memorial, but was a dull last in this years running of the race. He only started four times this season and today marked his first victory of the year.
