OFF AT 5:121 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. DADS DEGREE went to the front at once and, well rated throughout, maintained a narrow advantage over FIRST SHANNON all the way. The latter raced on almost equal terms with DADS DEGREE throughout, but did not appear to have the willingness to pass him. HUGO YOU GO was always a good contender and went gamely to the finish. JANES GAL saved ground in the stretch to finish well. MOKATUCK appeared to stumble right after the start and dropped out of it, then was badly outrun to the last eighth, but finished fairly well. SWAMP SON went steadily. BATTLE H was never dangerous. Scratched— 19555 Strongplay, 114. Overweight— Janes Gal, 1 pound; Battle H, 2. Attendance, 6,398; Total Mutuel Pool, 67,494.
