HARRY STOVERS WINNING YOUNGSTERS. Six races for two-year-olds three at Ascot Park and three at Oakland have been run in California this year. Harry Stovers colors have been first in each of the three at Ascot Park, first in one and second in another at Oakland. The first race at Ascot Park he won with Mabel Hollander at 100 to 1. January 2 Ray Egan won at 20 to 1, and yesterday he scored his second set of brackets at to 1. Each of these winners was ridden by Borel, a lad in whom trainer J. M. Shields has taken quite an interest and who he says is sure to make good as a jockey. Native Son was the winner in Stovers colors at Oakland and the odds about him were as good as S to 1. There was 2 to 1 about Piuikin, which finished second yesterday. It would seem that the work-watchers at Ascot Park and Oakland have been asleep.
