Montana Peeress, given a flying start, forced the pace with a small margin throughout, gamely stalling off Sun Hose at the end. The latter was reserved in the early running, moved up rapidly on the inside on the last turn and appeared all over the winner in the stretch, but suffered defeat because of an inadequate finish. Itirdic P., a prominent contender throughout, showed unexpected stamina in the closing drive. Rleven Bells, on the extreme outside, away poorly and carried wide on all the turns, finished with a belated rush under a bad ride. Bird of Passage, nearly left, closed a big gap. Crigli unexpectedly failed to stay. El 4iloto continually made up ground from a bad sendoff. Corrected weights Birdie P., 107. Buchanan, on the extreme outside and carried wide and interfered with on the first turn, closed a gap too fast and tired right at the end. Sais, away poorly, steadily Improved his position in a surprisingly good race. Kotrou, shuffled to the rear on the first turn and badly messed about, ran a good race. Pronta, nearly left, showed a flash of speed in the middle half, but was palpably short. Jackfull quit badly and may be expected to do much better presently. Sir Brillar displayed superior speed for eir furlongs, will soon, do at a longer distance and ran palpably short. Instructor, away badly, was worn out in a strenuous effort to overhaul the winner.
